A car that was left unlocked with its engine running was stolen from outside the QuikTrip gas station, 1617 Gravois Road, in High Ridge. The silver 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix was stolen at about 5:15 a.m. May 12, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
A witness told deputies someone got into the Grand Prix about 15 seconds after the car owner entered the store. The witness said the person who drove off with the Grand Prix headed east after leaving the gas station, the report said.
The car, which was valued at $1,500, had not been recovered and no suspects had been identified as of May 20, Sheriff’s Office spokesman Grant Bissell said. Anyone with information about the incident should call the Sheriff’s Office at 636-797-5515.
