Festus Police are investigating the theft of a car from outside a home in the 1000 block of Scenic Drive. The 2019 Dodge Challenger was valued at $17,000, Police Chief Tim Lewis said.
The victim, an 18-year-old Festus man, parked the vehicle in front of his home the evening of Aug. 13 and noticed it missing about 4 p.m. the next day, Lewis said.
“Either a spare key was left in the vehicle or someone took his spare key,” Lewis said. “He could not say for sure.”
