A victim said her car was stolen after she left it warming up outside her home in the 200 block of Keystone Drive in the Jefferson County portion of Fenton. The theft happened the morning of Feb. 22, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The victim told deputies that at about 7:10 a.m., she started the vehicle to allow it to warm up and went inside her house to gather her children and purse. When she went back outside approximately 10 minutes later, her car was gone, the report said.
The car, a 2017 Kia Sorento, is valued at $20,000. Cpl. Matthew Moore said Feb. 26 that the vehicle had not been recovered.
There were no arrests, Moore added. He asks anyone with information about the theft to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
