A 2009 Chevrolet Malibu, tools and other items recently were stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Orchard Drive in Barnhart. The burglary happened between 10:30 p.m. Feb. 10 and 6 a.m. Feb. 18, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reported.
It looked like the culprit entered the home through an unlocked back door. Among the stolen items was a set of keys that included a key to the Malibu, which was parked in the garage when it was stolen, the report said.
Other stolen items included an iPhone, an 18-inch chain saw, a 20-inch chain saw, a wallet containing cash, a heater and a laptop computer. The car was valued at $15,000, and the rest of the items $1,480, according to the report.
Cpl. Matthew Moore said Feb. 22 that none of the stolen items had been recovered and no arrests had been made. Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
