A body found July 23 in Glaize Creek in Barnhart has been identified as Ronnie Paul Eddy, 44, formerly of Cedar Hill, authorities announced Tuesday (Nov. 14).
Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Cpl. Matthew Moore said the name could not be released until the Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office completed an autopsy.
The cause of death was determined to be drowning, according to the Medical Examiner’s report, which was released Tuesday.
“It’s not being investigated as a crime,” Moore said.
The body was discovered the evening of July 23 in Glaize Creek near the intersection of highways 61-67 and M.
According to a July 27 Leader story, a passerby noticed the body at 5:11 p.m. and notified authorities. The Medical Examiner’s Office took the body.
Eddy, born Jan. 14, 1973, in Mesa, Ariz., was the son of James R. and Deborah S. (Bannister) Eddy of Arnold.
