The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office has identified Timothy W. Hegger, 67, of Arnold as the man whose body was found Sunday, Jan. 14, near the intersection of Hwy. 61-67 and Holly Court in Imperial.
Spokesman Grant Bissell said today, Jan. 16, that the Medical Examiner’s office was still determining a cause of death.
The Sheriff’s Office was called at about 9:05 a.m. to the 5700 block of Holly Court after a resident found the body, the report said.
An autopsy report showed injuries to Hegger’s head consistent with a fall. Detectives believe he fell numerous times while walking along Hwy. 61-67, according to the report.
No other signs of trauma or injury were found, but Hegger had health issues, the report said.
Investigators have ruled out foul play, according to a Sheriff’s Office Facebook post.
