The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a theft of $1,835 in items from Roofer’s Mart, 7001 Muffler Drive, in Barnhart. The burglary occurred between 5:30 p.m. March 30 and 6 a.m. April 2, the report said.
The items were on the flatbeds of several trucks when they were stolen. Among the stolen items were 40 sheets of plywood; 30 two-by-fours; four residential linen siding pieces; and eight crane straps, according to the report.
The investigator believes the suspect or suspects entered and exited the property from a creek, the report said.
As of April 12, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and no arrests had been made, Cpl. Matthew Moore said. Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
