Lynn Michelle Asbury, 56, of Arnold has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for felony stealing, court records show.

Between June 2008 and June 2012, Asbury stole more than $100,000 in cash from her employer – Meramec Specialty Co. in Arnold, also known as Atomic Fireworks, the probable-cause statement said.

Asbury took an Alford plea, which means she did not admit guilt but felt there was sufficient evidence to be found guilty.

On Dec. 8, Div. 1 Circuit Judge Robert G. Wilkins sentenced her to 10 years. However, she may be released early if she successfully completes a 120-day treatment program, court papers indicate.

Jefferson County assistant prosecuting attorney Catherine M. Robertson handled the case.

Asbury currently is in the Women’s Eastern Reception, Diagnostic and Correctional Center in Vandalia.
