Two Arnold women, one 39 and the other 19, were arrested June 12 for allegedly stealing shoes from the Famous Footwear in the Water Tower retail complex, Arnold Police reported.
At about 7:10 p.m., the two women entered the store wearing shoes they allegedly had stolen from the store the day before and tried to return another paor they allegedly had stolen, the report said.
The 19-year-old was issued a summons to appear in Municipal Court for misdemeanor stealing and then was released at the scene.
However, the older woman was wanted on an outstanding warrant and $3,500 bond for drug possession and a warrant and $260 bond for traffic violations from Jefferson County, as well as an outstanding warrant and $500 bond for stealing from St. Louis County. So, she was booked and then held for the other agencies to pick up, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said.
