A 35-year-old Arnold woman recently was arrested for allegedly stealing a backpack filled with clothes, money and other items from an unlocked vehicle parked along East Highview in Arnold. The theft happened between 11 p.m. Oct. 3 and 7 a.m. Oct. 4, and the stolen items were valued at $307, Arnold Police report.
Then, at about 4:30 p.m. Oct. 5, after the victim reportedly saw someone wearing some of the stolen clothes and reported it to police, officers went to a home on Orchard Drive in Arnold and recovered some of the stolen items, including shoes, pants and a jersey, Arnold Police Detective Lt. James Jones said.
He said the woman was booked, issued a summons to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for misdemeanor stealing and released.
