A 32-year-old Arnold woman recently was arrested for alleged possession of methamphetamine after she was found passed out in a vehicle at a car wash on the West Outer Road in Arnold. A 3-year-old child also was in the vehicle, so the woman was arrested for child endangerment, too, according to Arnold Police.
At 9:18 a.m. June 3, Arnold Police got a call about a person acting suspiciously at the car wash, and an officer found the woman asleep inside a vehicle that had its trunk open. In addition, there allegedly was drug paraphernalia in plain view, and it had residue on it believed to be meth, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
The woman, who appeared to be intoxicated on narcotics, was watching the child for a family member, and Children’s Division took the child into custody. The woman was booked and released pending application for warrants, Jones said.
Depending on results from drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek drug and child endangerment charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Jones said.
