A 25-year-old Arnold woman was arrested July 14 for felony stealing, following an alleged shoplifting incident at the Walmart store in Arnold, Arnold Police report.
At about 3:35 p.m., the woman allegedly removed price stickers from lower-priced items and placed them on higher-priced items and then proceeded to buy the items at the reduced cost, the report said.
The difference between the real cost and reduced cost after changing the price stickers was $639, according to the report.
Store personnel reportedly saw the woman changing the price tags and called Arnold Police, who arrested the woman at the store, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said.
She was booked and released pending the application for warrants.
Arnold Police will seek stealing charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Ruckman said.
