A feud between two 18-year-old women over a man allegedly turned physical at the Walmart Supercenter, 2201 Michigan Ave. The fight happened about 5:50 p.m. on New Year’s Day, Arnold Police reported.
During the dispute, an Arnold woman allegedly punched an Imperial woman in the face. When police arrived, the Arnold woman already had left the store, the report said.
The Imperial woman had a red mark on her face, but she refused medical attention. Because of the visible sign of injury, though, Arnold Police will seek charges against the Arnold woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for third-degree assault, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
As of Jan. 14, the Arnold woman had not been arrested, Wooldridge said.
