A 17-year-old Arnold male was arrested for allegedly taking a car that belongs to one of his relatives without permission, Arnold Police reported.
A woman who lives in the 2500 block of Starling Airport Road was informed by St. Louis County Police that her 2014 Ford Fiesta was found at Lemay Ferry Road and Lindbergh Boulevard after it hit a curb and had a flat tire. A male and female had fled the scene of the accident, the report said.
The car had been taken sometime after 12:30 a.m. Nov. 16 and was returned to the woman that same day.
The woman told police the Arnold teenager had taken her keys without permission. He was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and released, according to the report.
Arnold Police will seek charges against the teen through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for stealing a motor vehicle, Lt. Clinton Woolridge said.
