A 64-year-old Arnold woman received a shock when she recently unraveled a newspaper thrown into her yard on Pomme Meadows Road. The woman found a substance believed to be methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside the paper, Arnold Police reported.

On the morning of May 4, the woman got the paper from her yard and inside it, she reportedly found three unused syringes, a spoon and a Marlboro cigarette box that contained two capsules and a white rock-like substance, which was field tested and appeared to be 3.4 grams of methamphetamine. The woman contacted Arnold Police at about 5:30 a.m. following her discovery, and an officer took the items, the report said.

Arnold Police have contacted the newspaper’s distribution manager to find the person who delivered papers on the route that morning, but as of May 13, investigators had not located the delivery person, Cpl. Brett Ackermann said.
