A 64-year-old Arnold woman was arrested for allegedly trying to steal two bottles of wine from a BP gas station in Arnold. When an employe confronted her, she allegedly threw one of the bottles on the floor, shattering it, Arnold Police reported.

The woman entered the convenience store, 3700 Jeffco Blvd., at about 7:30 p.m. April 15 and reportedly tried to leave with the wine. A 26-year-old man who works at the store stopped the woman and grabbed one of the bottles away from her, but she allegedly threw the other bottle and left the store, the report said.

The two bottles of wine were worth $13.98, according to the report.

Officers found the woman at her home near the gas station and arrested her. She was issued summonses to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for stealing and property damage, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
