Suspect in theft at Arnold Phillips 66

A photo taken from surveillance footage at a Phillips 66 in Arnold shows this suspect, who Arnold Police believe is a man dressed as a woman, before he allegedly broke into a coin machine at the store this morning.

A man, dressed in a black mask, red tights and a skirt, allegedly broke into a coin game inside the Phillips 66 convenience store, 5 Municipal Drive, in Arnold this morning (March 8) and stole a $50 bill and an unknown amount of change, Arnold Police report.

At 5:59 a.m., the man, who’s about 6 feet tall, walked into the convenience store, shattered the glass on the coin machine and stole the money, the report said.

He left, headed west towards a wooded area, according to the report.

Damage to the machine was estimated at $125, the report said.

In addition to the mask, tights and skirt, the man was wearing a Mickey Mouse shirt and women’s shoes, according to the report.

Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said that although the suspect was dressed like a woman, officers believe the suspect is a man because of his muscular build.

As of about 11:30 a.m. today, the suspect had not been identified and there were no arrests, Ruckman said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
