Arnold Police are looking for a 29-year-old High Ridge man who allegedly fled from police during a traffic stop.

At 3:49 a.m. Jan. 31, an Arnold Police Officer allegedly spotted the man speeding in a blue Mercury Mountaineer on Jeffco Boulevard and stopped him at I-55 and Richardson Road. However, as the officer was walking up to the SUV, the man drove away, Detective Lt. James Jones said.

The man proceeded north on I-55 into St. Louis County, so the Arnold Police officer stopped pursuing him. Later, the High Ridge man was identified as the suspect and Arnold Police listed him as wanted for failure to yield to an officer and resisting arrest. As of Thursday (Feb. 9), however, the man had not been taken into custody, Jones said.
