A 51-year-old Arnold man has been arrested for assault and possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, after an alleged domestic dispute and several violations of a restraining order, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman says.
At about 9 p.m. Jan. 9, the suspect allegedly assaulted his girlfriend at their home in the 2100 block of Lake Drive, Arnold Police reported.
He was booked and held for 12 hours and then released on a summons to appear in Municipal Court for domestic assault, the report said.
The girlfriend got a restraining order against the man, and at 8:46 p.m. Jan. 10, Arnold Police assisted Sheriff’s Office deputies who served him with the restraining order and removed him from the home on Lake Drive, Ruckman said.
At that time, Arnold Police reportedly found the man in possession of drug paraphernalia and what appeared to be marijuana, so he was booked and released on summonses to appear in Municipal Court on misdemeanor drug charges, Ruckman said.
The next day, Jan. 11, the suspect allegedly violated the restraining order, repeatedly sending the victim text messages and harassing her, the report said.
On Jan. 12, the suspect allegedly violated the order by showing up at the Lake Drive home and trying to enter it, according to the report.
So, Arnold Police have forwarded a report to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office seeking charges against the man, Ruckman said.
