Arnold Police are seeking felony charges against a 32-year-old Middletown man for allegedly burglarizing a home in the 2200 block of Fawn Drive. The man allegedly stole more than $4,000 in cash and items from the home and a car from the garage, Police reported.
The car, a 2008 Toyota Camry, and other items were stolen on Aug. 6, and the car was recovered Aug. 13 in Cedar Park, Texas, where the man was in police custody on Oct. 4, Arnold Police Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
He said the suspect allegedly stole tools, ammunition, a bow and arrow, coins and other items from the Arnold home. In addition, the suspect ransacked the home, stole a laptop computer and opened a freezer in the garage, causing all the food inside to go bad, the report said.
Authorities in Texas reportedly found the man with the stolen Camry there and arrested him. The man is being held in Texas for tampering with a motor vehicle, Wooldridge said.
If the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office files charges against the suspect, he could be extradited and face charges here for felony burglary and stealing a motor vehicle, Wooldridge said.
The man also is wanted in Ballwin on outstanding warrants for possession of two handguns with defaced serial numbers and burglary, Wooldridge said.
