Arnold Police are trying to find a 42-year-old Festus man for reportedly assaulting his ex-girlfriend and stealing her phone at a home in the 1600 block of West Highview. The man allegedly kicked in the front door of the home at about 9:10 a.m. March 8, Detective Lt. Jason Valentine said.
The man reportedly screamed at the 43-year-old Festus woman, claiming she was cheating on him. Then, the man allegedly grabbed the woman’s Samsung cell phone, which was valued at about $500, and the two began to physically struggle with each other, the report said.
The man allegedly shoved the woman several times before breaking free from her and leaving the area in a 1999 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by a 30-year-old Festus man. No injuries were reported for the woman. The damage to the front door was estimated at about $300, the report said.
As of March 17, police had not found the man, who is wanted on warrants for first-degree burglary, third-degree domestic violence assault and stealing, Valentine said.
