Arnold Police are investigating recent thefts from three vehicles in the same part of town – two of them from vehicles parked in the 1500 block of Avion Ridge and the other parked in the 200 block of Cambridge Court. The culprit broke into all three vehicles, a report said.

One theft happened on Avion Ridge between 10:15 p.m. Oct. 7 and 7:24 a.m. Oct. 8, when someone damaged weather stripping around a door of a vehicle to get inside and stole a Springfield Arms 9mm handgun. The gun was valued at $599.99, according to the report.

The other theft on Avion Ridge happened between 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. Oct. 8, when someone broke a rear passenger window to get inside a vehicle and stole an iPad, wallet and camera. Altogether, those items were valued at $1,800, the report said.

The third theft happened on Cambridge Court between 1:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Oct. 8, when the culprit broke the rear window of a vehicle to get inside and stole a St. Louis Blues sweatshirt valued at $40, according to the report.

As of Nov. 1, none of the stolen items had been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Detective Lt. James Jones said. He asks anyone with information about the thefts to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
