Investigators search a Mazda SUV that was driven this morning to Festus City Hall and Police Station on Tuesday morning by a woman who allegedly told officers she killed two of her children.

Arnold Police are searching for a woman who allegedly stole $11.34 worth of food from Wingstop, 3882 Hwy. 141, after the restaurant had closed. The woman reportedly drives for DoorDash, an online food ordering service.

Officers were called at about 12:30 a.m. Sept. 23 about the theft. A Wingstop employee said the woman went to the restaurant to pick up an order after it had closed for the night, the report said.

The employee said the woman was told the order had been thrown away because it was not picked up during operating hours. The employee said the woman left but returned about 10 minutes later and banged on the restaurant’s front door, according to the report.

The employee opened the door, and the woman allegedly forced her way into the restaurant, went in the kitchen area, grabbed some food and left in what appeared to be a Chevrolet Aveo, Arnold Police reported.

As of Sept. 29, the woman had not been identified and no arrests had been made, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. Anyone with information about the burglary should call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
