Arnold Police are investigating the use of a 62-year-old St. Louis woman’s stolen debit card at the First Community Credit Union ATM at 1722 Missouri State Road. The debit card was stolen from the woman’s mailbox and used once in Arnold and at three locations in St. Louis County, police reported.
On Feb. 3, the woman reported the fraudulent withdrawal of $300 from her account after being notified of the transaction by her bank. Surveillance video showed someone using the ATM to withdraw money from the account, but the person was wearing a mask and gloves and could not be identified, the report said.
As of Feb. 8, the money had not been recovered, and a suspect had not been identified, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said. He said he did not know how much money was taken from the woman’s account at the St. Louis County locations.
