Arnold Police arrested a 42-year-old Dixon woman for suspicion of driving while intoxicated following an accident in the 1900 block of Melody Lane. The woman had driven into a parked car before officers were called, police reported.
The accident was reported at about 8:45 p.m. June 12. The woman allegedly drove a 2010 Ford Escape into an unoccupied 2020 Volkswagen Passat, damaging both vehicles, the report said.
The woman was not injured in the accident, but she appeared impaired. She allegedly told officers she had been drinking but refused to perform field sobriety tests, according to the report.
She was arrested and taken to the Police Station, where she was booked, and then she made suicidal statements and was transported to Mercy Hospital South in south St. Louis County, Arnold Police reported.
The woman was issued summonses to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for DWI, driving with an invalid license and not having proof of insurance, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
