Arnold Police used a Flock license-plate reading camera to locate a stolen 2001 Infiniti Q30, and an officer arrested a 40-year-old St. Louis man, who was driving the SUV. The Infiniti was reported stolen by St. Louis Police, authorities reported.
The Flock camera system alerted Arnold Police at about 12:30 a.m. Feb. 3 that the stolen SUV was traveling south on Jeffco Boulevard near Starling Airport Road. The officers saw the Infiniti traveling on Jeffco Boulevard near Church Road, and he stopped the SUV, the report said.
The man did not say why he was driving a stolen SUV, and he was arrested. The man was taken to the Arnold Police Station, where he was booked and released pending the application for a warrant, according to the report.
Arnold Police will seek a charge against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for first-degree tampering, Detective Lt. Jeremey Christopher said.
