An O’Fallon woman recently was arrested for allegedly damaging furniture, clothes and other items at her boyfriend’s apartment in the 1500 block of Avion Ridge, Arnold Police report

Arnold Police got a call about the property damage at 7:50 p.m. Aug. 8.

The victim told officers that his “now ex-girlfriend” was mad because he returned home late after a night out with his friends, so she tore his couch and loveseat, tipped over his plasma TV and poured bleach over his clothes, the report said.

In all, the damage was estimated at $2,600, according to the report.

The woman was later taken into custody, booked and then released pending application for warrants.

Arnold Police will seek charges against her through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, said Capt. Robert Ruckman.

As of Aug. 13, no charges had been filed, he said.
