A 37-year-old Florissant woman was arrested for alleged possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia after she was found unconscious in a car outside Texas Roadhouse, 806 Arnold Commons Drive, in Arnold. The incident happened about 9 p.m. May 15, Arnold Police reported.

Officers were called to Texas Roadhouse after someone saw the woman passed out in a Pontiac Grad Prix parked outside the restaurant. When officers arrived, the woman appeared unconscious, but she did respond when police spoke to her, the report said.

Officers allegedly spotted clear, empty capsules on her lap, and when she got out of the car, she allegedly told them she had been using illegal drugs. Officers also allegedly found 21 capsules that contained a substance believed to be heroin, along with two glass pipes, in her purse, according to the report.

Because the woman appeared to under the influence of narcotics, officers released her to the care of Rock Township Ambulance personnel. She was treated at the scene and refused to be transported to a hospital, the report said.

Depending on the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the woman through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, Capt. Rich Shular said.
