Arnold Police arrested a 36-year-old Fenton man for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The man has at least three prior DWI convictions, police reported.
The man was arrested at about 10:30 p.m. Feb. 26 after he was stopped while driving a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis on northbound Hwy. 141 near Astra Way. The officer stopped the man because he allegedly ran a stop sign at the intersection of Big Bill Road and Melody Lane, the report said.
The man appeared intoxicated and was arrested without being asked to perform field tests because of the conditions at the time. The man also was wanted by St. Louis County Police on a warrant, according to the report.
He was taken to the Arnold Police Station, where he was booked and held for St. Louis County Police, the report said.
Arnold Police will seek a charge against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for driving while intoxicated and driving with a revoked license, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
