Arnold Police are investigating 11 vehicle break-ins that happened throughout the city last week.

One occurred between 9:30 p.m. Sept. 4 and 8 a.m. Sept. 5 in the 2100 block of Christy Drive, when someone broke the front passenger window to the vehicle to get inside and then stole a purse containing credit cards and a checkbook, Arnold Police reported.

Four thefts happened overnight between Sept. 6 and Sept. 7, when items were stolen from three vehicles parked along Fox Ridge Court and from one on Arnold Tenbrook Road.

A .45-caliber Glock handgun valued at about $450 was stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1500 block of Fox Ridge Court, the report said.

In addition, someone broke out the driver-side window on a Ford Fusion parked in the 1400 block of Fox Ridge Court and stole a wallet that contained $100 in cash, a credit card and a driver’s license. In all, the items were valued at $160, according to the report.

A Samsung tablet worth about $800 was stolen from an unlocked Chevrolet Impala that also was parked in the 1400 block of Fox Ridge Court. Later, the tablet was recovered in the area but had been damaged by rain, Detective Lt. James Jones said.

Someone damaged the rear passenger window on a Jeep Wrangler parked in the 1200 block of Arnold Tenbrook Road, causing about $1,700 in damage, and stole a purse containing $100 in cash, medication and a wallet. Altogether, those stolen items were valued at $112, the report said.

Another theft happened between 9 p.m. Sept. 8 and 9:45 a.m. Sept. 9, when someone stole a GPS device from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1700 block of Susan Drive. That device was valued at $100.

Two other thefts in that part of town, off either Lonedell or Pomme roads, happened overnight between Sept. 9 and Sept. 10, one from a vehicle parked on Greer Drive and the other on Glatt Drive.

The victim who lives on Greer Drive said someone stole a computer, tools and a wallet containing cash and personal papers from his unlocked vehicle. Those items were valued at $500, the report said.

Prescription medicine was stolen from the unlocked vehicle on Glatt Drive, according to the report.

There also were thefts overnight between Sept. 9 and Sept. 10 from vehicles on Southcrest Drive and Jere Lane, which are off either Tenbrook or Arnold Tenbrook roads.

About $400 in items, including a car speaker and a wallet that contained credit and bank cards, were stolen from the unlocked vehicle on Southcrest, and some keys was stolen from the unlocked vehicle on Jere Lane. Those keys were stolen from an Arnold city employee’s vehicle and were for restrooms and other Arnold parks department buildings, Jones said.

He said Tuesday (Sept. 13) that those locks have since been changed.

Another theft happened overnight between Sept. 9 and Sept. 10, when cash and lottery tickets valued at about $250 were stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked in the 1600 block of Stardust Drive.

Jones said some or all of the vehicle thefts could be related. For example, he said, the thefts from vehicles on Fox Ridge Court were probably related.

He said there was some video surveillance footage from at least one of the incidents.

As of Tuesday (Sept. 13), though, there were no suspects or arrests, Jones said. He asks anyone with information about the thefts to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
