An Arnold man and a St. Louis man, both 18, were arrested after arguing with a manager at the drive-thru window at the Steak ‘n Shake in the Arnold Crossroad complex. The incident occurred at 9:50 p.m. April 10, Arnold Police reported.
The Arnold man was driving a Camaro, and he continuously revved the car’s engine while he and the St. Louis man waited in the car for their food. After being asked by the drive-thru attendant to stop revving the engine, the Arnold man continued to rev it and then he and the St. Louis man were given their food, the report said.
The St. Louis man cursed at the window attendant, and the manager came to the window and told the two to leave. They refused because they didn’t get a spoon, and the manager said she was going to call the police, according to the report.
The Arnold teen, who was wearing at St. Louis County Police Explorer shirt, allegedly replied, “I am the police,” and pointed to the police logo on his shirt, the report said.
An Arnold Police officer pulled over the Camaro in the parking and took the two men into custody and transported them to the police station where they were booked and issued summonses. The Arnold man was issued summonses for disturbing the peace, trespassing and impersonating a police officer, and the St. Louis man got summonses for disturbing the peace and trespassing, the report said.
While the Arnold teen was being booked, officers discovered he was wanted in St. Louis County for burglary, and he was held for St. Louis County Police, according to the report.
