Arnold Police are looking for a 31-year-old Arnold man in connection with the alleged theft of a safe and $11,000 in cash from an apartment in the 600 block of Jeffco Boulevard.
The Arnold man also is suspected of stealing the victim’s vehicle, Arnold Police reported.
The victim said he left his apartment at 6 a.m. Oct. 18 to pick up a friend and when he returned a short time later, the safe was missing, the report said.
In addition to the $11,000 in cash, the safe reportedly contained other “valuable items,” according to the report.
While officers were investigating the reported theft of the safe and cash, the victim discovered that his vehicle was missing from the parking lot. It was recovered at 11:13 a.m. the same day in St. Louis, the report said.
The victim said he suspected the Arnold man – his roommate’s friend who had stayed overnight at the apartment and then left during the period the safe went missing, according to the report.
As of Monday (Oct. 26), the suspect had not been arrested, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Arnold Police at 636-296-3204.
