A 37-year-old Arnold man wanted on at least 10 warrants was arrested after he tried to flee from Arnold Police officers. The Arnold and St. Louis County police departments, along with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, had been searching for the suspect man because of his felony and misdemeanor warrants, Arnold Police reported.
The man was seen at about 7:45 p.m. Oct. 27 walking in the 1200 block of Telegraph Road toward Bayshore Parkway. When Arnold Police officers tried to stop the man, he allegedly ran from the officers, the report said.
Officers apprehended him in a field near Waycross Way. The man was taken to Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Crystal City, where he was determined to be fit for confinement and was transferred to the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, according to the report.
Arnold Police will seek a charge against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for resisting arrest, Detective Cpl. Josh Wineinger said.
