arnold police patch

A 31-year-old Arnold man recently was arrested for allegedly stealing checks from a St. Louis business where he used to work and then forging and cashing them. The man allegedly cashed four checks between Feb. 18 and March 8 at the Walmart Supercenter in Arnold, for a total of about $3,530, Arnold Police Lt. Brian Carroll said.

After the stolen and forged checks were cashed, Arnold Police listed the suspect as wanted for questioning. Later, St. Louis County Police picked up the suspect, and at about 8 p.m. April 24, he was transported to the Arnold Police Department, where he was arrested, the report said.

The suspect was booked and released pending application for warrants. Arnold Police will seek felony stealing and forgery charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Carroll said.
