A 23-year-old Arnold man has been arrested for allegedly stealing alcohol from a home in the 300 block of Marilyn Drive in the Arnold area, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office reports.
At about 9:25 a.m. July 3, the man allegedly forced open a basement window behind the house to get inside and then took several bottles of alcohol valued at $250, the report said.
The homeowner was inside the house during the incident and confronted the suspect on the home’s deck before he dropped the bottles and ran into a nearby wooded area, the report said.
A short time later, he was apprehended in the Arnold area, according to the report.
The Sheriff’s Office will seek burglary charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
