A 26-year-old Arnold man was arrested for allegedly shooting a .380-caliber handgun into the ground during an altercation with his neighbor on Pleasant Valley Terrace. The incident happened about 1:30 p.m. Oct. 27, Arnold Police reported.
According to the report, the suspect’s neighbor, a 29-year-old Arnold man, was revving a motorcycle engine, so the 26-year-old went to his neighbor’s home. The two yelled at each other and then started pushing each other, the report said.
Then, the 26-year-old man allegedly pulled out a gun, pointed it at his neighbor and shot it into the ground. Police arrived, arrested the 26-year-old and transported him to the Police Station, where he was booked and later released pending application for warrants, according to the report.
Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for unlawful use of a firearm and illegal discharging of a firearm, Lt. Tom Leassner said.
