A 33-year-old Arnold man recently was arrested for allegedly damaging his girlfriend’s vehicle following a dispute, Arnold Police reported.

Just before 6 p.m. Nov. 18, the victim reported that she and her boyfriend were arguing while they were driving along Manufacturers Drive in Arnold, so she stopped and made him get out of the vehicle, the report said.

Later, the man allegedly went to the victim’s mobile home in the Starling Community and broke the taillights on her vehicle, causing $50 in damage, according to the report.

At about 10:30 p.m. the same day, after the man returned to the Starling Community home, he was arrested, the report said.

The man was booked and held for 12 hours, and during that time, he was served with an ex parte order, which orders him to stay away from the victim, according to the report.

At about 4 p.m., Nov. 19, Arnold Police got a call from the victim that someone had used a key to scratch her van, causing about $200 in damage, the report said.

Arnold Police suspect the 33-year-old in that case, but as of Tuesday (Nov. 24), he had not been arrested in connection with it, Arnold Police Capt. Robert Ruckman said.
