hands in handcuffs

A 25-year-old Arnold man recently was arrested for allegedly burglarizing two mobile homes in the 100 block of Starling Community in Arnold, Capt. Robert Ruckman says.

One burglary occurred between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. May 5, when the suspect allegedly forced open the front door to a mobile home and stole a 32-inch Emerson TV valued at about $300. Later, the TV was found at a pawn shop on Jeffco Boulevard in Arnold, according to Arnold Police.

The Arnold man was identified as a suspect and later he was arrested at a home in the 500 block of B Street in Arnold. During the arrest, Arnold Police officers found the suspect with a shoebox filled with baseball cards that had been stolen from a different mobile home in the 100 block of Starling Community. Those cards were valued at $500, Ruckman said.

Police found the name of the owner of the baseball cards written on them. When officers went to that home, they found signs of forced entry there, the report said.

The suspect also was wanted in Jefferson County for a probation violation and on an outstanding warrant for felony burglary. He was booked and released to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Ruckman said.
