A 38-year-old Arnold man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his former girlfriend, a 46-year-old Arnold woman. The incident occurred about 1 p.m. Dec. 26, when the woman showed up at a home in the 600 block of Pear Tree Lane to get her belongings, Arnold Police reported.
The woman told police that after she got into an argument with the man at the home, he allegedly grabbed her and threw her down, aggravating a prior neck injury she had. The woman was transported to SSM Health St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, the report said.
The man turned himself into authorities later in the day, and he was arrested, booked, held for 12 hours and released. Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for third-degree assault, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
