A 39-year-old Arnold man was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated after he allegedly crashed the pickup he was driving on Hwy. 141 in Arnold into a curb, road sign and electric pole with a concrete base. The accident happened about 3:40 a.m. March 10, Arnold Police reported.
The suspect was driving a Dodge Ram east on Hwy. 141 at Old Lemay Ferry Road when he crashed the pickup. The man was not hurt in the accident, Detective Lt. James Jones said.
He said the man, who appeared intoxicated, took a breath test and reportedly had a .216 percent blood-alcohol content. That’s nearly three times the legal limit in Missouri, which is .08 percent.
The man was issued summonses to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for failure to drive in a single lane, driving without insurance and DWI, Jones said.
