A 38-year-old Arnold man recently was arrested for suspicion of driving while intoxicated following a minor traffic accident at Wicks and Iron Mountain roads in Arnold. The man was a prior offender, Arnold Police Detective Lt. James Jones said.
At 1:15 a.m. April 5, Arnold Police officers responded to the scene of the accident, where the man reportedly had run off the road and struck a telephone pole. He was not seriously hurt, Jones said.
The man appeared intoxicated but refused to take a breath test. However, he was arrested for DWI, booked and released pending applications for warrants, Jones said.
Arnold Police will seek DWI charges against him through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. As of Thursday (April 20), no charges had been filed, Jones said.
