A 36-year-old Arnold man wanted on a felony warrant was taken into custody just a few hours after he allegedly fled from police who went to a home in the 2400 block of East Church Road to arrest him. Arnold Police officers later found him in a wooded area near the Fox Pointe subdivision, police reported.
At about 9:20 a.m. Aug. 14, officers went to the home on East Church Road to find the man who was wanted by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. The man was outside the home walking toward a vehicle when he saw the officers and allegedly ran into nearby woods, the report said.
Officers got another call about the man at approximately about 3 p.m. that day when the man was seen in woods near Fox Pointe Drive, which is south of East Church Road. Officers located the man and arrested him without further incident, according to the report.
The man was taken to the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro. Arnold Police will seek a charge against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for felony resisting arrest, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
