A 42-year-old Arnold man was arrested for allegedly assaulting a security guard at the Quality Inn hotel, 3610 W. Outer Road. He allegedly spit on and threw ice at the guard, a 34-year-old woman, when she asked him to leave the hotel lobby, Arnold Police reported.

The victim told police she asked the man to leave the hotel at about 2:45 a.m. Oct. 15. The man, who was sitting alone in the lobby, allegedly yelled at the guard before assaulting her and leaving the hotel, the report said.

Officers found the man at the nearby Mobil on the Run gas station, 3611 W. Outer Road. The man reportedly tried to pull away from the officers, but he was physically restrained and arrested without further incident, according to the report.

The man was taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and released pending application for charges, the report said.

Arnold Police will seek a charge against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for fourth-degree assault and resisting arrest, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
