man in handcuffs

A 27-year-old Arnold man was arrested for alleged possession of a substance believed to be methamphetamine. He was arrested at 4:54 p.m. April 8 after he was pulled over in the 3600 block of the West Outer Road for an alleged traffic violation, Arnold Police reported.

An officer spotted the 1983 Dodge pickup with an Illinois license plate on the front of the pickup and a Missouri car dealer’s license plate on the back. The dealer’s plate had been reported stolen from Twin City Toyota, 301 Autumn Ridge Drive, in Herculaneum, the report said.

The officer searched the driver and allegedly found meth in his front right pants’ pocket. He was arrested and transported to the Police Station, where he was booked and later released pending application for warrants. Depending on the drug analysis, Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for possession of stolen property and possession of meth, Lt. Clinton Wooldridge said.
