Arnold Police are seeking a charge against a 31-year-old Dittmer man for allegedly fleeing from officers who tried to stop a car he was driving. The man already was wanted on felony warrants for driving with a revoked license, police reported.

At about 3 p.m. Jan. 5, officers saw a 2008 Honda Accord registered to the man traveling south on Jeffco Boulevard near Telegraph Road. The officers knew the man was wanted on felony warrants and tried to stop the car, the report said.

However, the driver fled on Jeffco Boulevard, and the officers did not chase him. The officers obtained surveillance video from the nearby Phillips 66 gas station, 3910 Jeffco Blvd., and allegedly confirmed the suspect’s identity, according to the report.

Arnold Police will seek a charge for resisting arrest against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. As of Jan. 11, the charge had not been filed, and the man had not been arrested, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
