A 33-year-old Arnold man allegedly forged and cashed checks he stole from a relative he shares a home with on North Drive. The man allegedly stole and cashed the checks over a three-month period, Arnold Police reported.
The victim, an 88-year-old Arnold woman, told police the suspect stole six checks from her between Feb. 7 and April 8. She said the man cashed the checks for a total of $890 at various locations, the report said.
Police arrested the man at about 11 a.m. April 9 at his home. He was taken to the Police Station, where he was booked and released pending application for warrants, according to the report.
Arnold Police will seek charges against the man through the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for felony stealing and forgery, Cpl. Brett Ackermann said.
