A 76-year-old Arnold man was arrested after he allegedly punched two employees at the Spectrum store, 884 Arnold Commons Drive, in Arnold. The man appeared to become upset after he was not provided a chair, Arnold Police reported.

The man had asked for a chair because he recently had surgery. It is not known why a chair was not provided, the report said.

When the man was told he could not have a chair, he allegedly punched a 50-year-old St. Louis man who works at the store in the mouth. A 42-year-old Fenton man who also works at the store intervened, and the man also allegedly hit him in the mouth, according to the report.

The employees each said they were not injured, the report said.

The man was arrested and issued summons to appear in Arnold Municipal Court for alleged assault, Detective Lt. Jeremy Christopher said.
