Scott F. Heatherly, 51, of Arnold, who authorities have been seeking since Dec. 8, when he allegedly assaulted a woman at the Walgreens on Vogel Road in Arnold, turned himself in at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office at 11:25 a.m. today (Dec. 15), authorities reported.

The man allegedly assaulted the woman following a road-rage incident. The woman sustained minor injuries, according to authorities.

On Tuesday, the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Heatherly with second-degree assault, a class D felony; first-degree property damage, a class E felony; and second-degree property damage, a class B misdemeanor.

He was being held this afternoon at the Jefferson County Jail on a $50,000 cash-only bond. A bond-reduction hearing has been set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 21) before Jefferson County Div. 10 Associate Judge Jeffrey Coleman at the Jefferson County Courthouse.

If convicted of the charges, Heatherly faces up to seven years in prison for the class D felony, up to four years for the class E felony and up to six months in jail for the misdemeanor.
