High Ridge man charged with alleged drug possession

Adam Rogers

Adam Hunter Rogers, 43, of High Ridge was recently arrested on a charge of possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony punishable by up to seven years in prison, court documents show.

He was arrested on June 4, and was being held on a $5,000 surety-bond at the Jefferson County Jail in Hillsboro, court records show.

The Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office charged Rogers on April 14 after a Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Deputy allegedly found a substance that tested positive as methamphetamine in an SUV that Rogers was driving in May 2024, according to court documents.

The Sheriff’s Office reported that a deputy stopped a 2003 Jeep Cherokee that Rogers was driving on Hwy. B near Northridge Drive south of Cedar Hill due to the SUV having an unregistered temporary tag.

The case’s probable-cause statement said the deputy allegedly found a glass smoking device with residue and a crystal-like substance in the SUV. The Missouri State Highway Patrol tested the substance, which was identified as meth.

Rogers has pleaded guilty to possession charges at least four times in Jefferson County, court records show.

In January 2017, he pleaded guilty to a possession charge and was sentenced to three years in prison, but the judge suspended the execution of the sentence and placed him on three years’ probation, according to court documents.

Rogers again pleaded guilty to a possession charge in June 2018 and received another three-year prison sentence. However, the judge again suspended the execution of the sentence and placed him on five years’ probation, court records said.

In March 2021, Rogers pleaded guilty to another possession charge, and he was sentenced to five years in prison. The execution of that sentence also was suspended, and he was again placed on five years’ probation, according to court documents.

In October 2021, when Rogers pleaded guilty to another possession charge, the judge revoked his probation and sentenced Rogers to three years in prison, court records said.
