Electronics and other items valued at about $8,750 recently were stolen from a home in the 10000 block of Neal Drive in Dittmer. The burglary occurred between Oct. 1 and Oct. 11, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s office reports.

It looked like the culprit pried off a screen to a kitchen window to get inside the house and then stole the items. Stolen items included a Hitachi 42-inch, flat-screen TV; a pair of Pro Studio tower speakers; a pair of Boston acoustic speakers; an Alpine V-Power amp; a Sony stereo receiver; a Bose sub-woofer and speakers; a Wii gaming console; about 200 DVDs; a folding gaming chair; carpet and more, the report said.

As of Thursday (Oct. 27), none of the stolen items had been recovered, and there were no suspects or arrests, Detective Sgt. James Kausler said. He asks anyone with information about the burglary to call the Sheriff’s Office tip line at 636-797-5515.
